Multiresolution ESPRIT algorithm

چکیده
Multiresolution ESPRIT is an extension of the ESPRIT direction finding algorithm to antenna arrays with multiple baselines. A short (half wavelength) baseline is necessary to avoid aliasing, and a long baseline is preferred for accuracy. The MR-ESPRIT algorithm allows the combination of both estimates. The ratio of the longest baseline to the shortest one is a measure of the gain in accuracy. Because of various factors, including noise, signal bandwidth, and measurement error, the achievable gain in accuracy is bounded.

Application of Multiresolution Analysis to Direction-of-arrival Estimation
High-resolution methods of direction-of-arrival (DOA) estimation have been a topic of great importance in recent years for their wide-spread applications in radar, sonar, and mobile communication [7, 8]. Recently, most multiple source detection techniques are based on the eigenstructure decomposition of the covariance matrix. Among them, MUltiple SIgnal Classification (MUSIC) method [13] and Es...
متن کاملUnitary ESPRIT: how to obtain increased estimation accuracy with a reduced computational burden
ESPRIT is a high-resolution signal parameter estimation technique based on the translational invariance structure of a sensor array. Previous ESPRIT algorithms do not use the fact that the operator representing the phase delays between the two subarrays is unitary. Here, we present a simple and efficient method to constrain the estimated phase factors to the unit circle, if centro-symmetric arr...
متن کاملPolarimetric Interferometric Sar Data Analysis Based on Esprit/music Methods
RESUME This paper presents a polarimetric interferometric SAR data analysis based on high-resolution methods such as ESPRIT. The ESPRIT algorithm is used in order to separate and to retrieve the interferometric phase centre of local dominant scatterer. In a second part, an extension of the ESPRIT algorithm is presented that allows to retrieve the polarisation information retrieval.
متن کاملForest Height Feature Extraction in Polarimetric SAR Interferometry by using Rotational Invariance Property
This paper present a new forest height feature extraction technique for single baseline polarimetric and interferometric SAR data. The authors have proposed polarimetric SAR interferometry based on the ESPRIT algorithm. However, the algorithm assumes that there exist dominant polarized components in both the ground and canopy. Hence, estimated interferometric phase of local scattering centers m...
متن کاملAn Adaptive ESPRIT Based on URV Decomposition*
ESPRIT is an algorithm for determining the fixed directions of arrival of a set of narrowband signals at am array of sensors. Unfortunately, its computational burden & it unsuitable for real time processing of signals with time-varying directions of arrival. In this work we develop a new implementation of ESPRIT that has potential for real time processing. It is based on a rank-revealing UFW de...
